Speaking about bulbs planting, we reminded you of Crocus, a special innocent flower, with a variety of color, from white, to purple flowers. Very special is yellow Crocus, most used in bouquets and flower arrangements. You can read the references of Crocus as a cut flower, if you want to gladden your house with Crocus cut flowers.
Mention of Crocus flowering period, there are spring-flowering Crocus and autumn–flowering Crocus.

Spring–flowering Crocus are indispensable dwarf perennials as they bring a welcome splash of early spring color into the garden. Some cultivars of Crocus sieberi, such as ‘Tricolor’ or ‘Hubert Edelstein’, bloom even earlier, in late winter, like Snowdrops. The goblet-shaped flowers emerge from swollen, underground corms at the same time as or just before the narrow, almost upright the foliage. The leaves are mid-green with silver-green central stripes, and grow markedly as the blooms fade. Spring-flowering Crocus is very effective in drifts at the front of a mixed or herbaceous border, or in massed plantings in rock gardens or raised beds.

There are also Crocus korolkowii, Crocus kosaninii, Crocus leichtlinii, Crocus malyi, Crocus michelsonii, Crocus rujanensis etc, beautiful flowering as well.
How to grow Spring–flowering Crocus

Crocus flowering in spring grows in gritty, well-drained poor to moderately fertile soil, in full sun. You have to water freely during the growing season and apply a low-nitrogen fertilizer each month. Crocus corsicus must be kept completely dry over summer. Spring-flowering Crocus can be naturalized under the right growing conditions. Easily grown and free-flowering, spring-flowering crocuses will increase their kind from year to year.
